What is WELL?

We are a group of speech-language pathologists, teachers, and researchers committed to furthering our understanding of effective writing instruction for school-age children and disseminating this knowledge to teachers, specialists and parents.

Our Mission

  • Serve the language and literacy needs of the local, regional and national community.

  • Examine the effects of structured writing instruction delivered in the schools.

  • Implement evidence-based effective writing practices through research-practice partnerships that are interdisciplinary.

The team was thrilled to present our poster, “Leveraging implementation science for transforming writing instruction in the schools” at the December convention for the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association in Seattle, WA.
